Overview:
The Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR), one of the world’s premier rowing events, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager, Brand Partnerships to lead brand partnerships and sponsorship sales efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, hustle, and a proven ability to build and manage impactful brand partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Partnerships & Sponsorship Sales:
- Proactively identify and pursue new brand partnership and sponsorship opportunities, leveraging a strong network of brand and agency relationships.
- Develop and present creative, customized pitches that align with HOCR’s values and strategic goals while addressing partner objectives.
- Lead all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting and initial meetings to contract negotiation and agreement execution.
- Bring a creative mindset to generate compelling brand concepts that resonate with potential partners and align with the experiential marketing landscape.
Account Management & Deliverables Fulfillment:
- Act as the primary liaison for partner accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Ensure all sponsorship and partnership deliverables are executed flawlessly, meeting and exceeding partner expectations.
- Work with internal teams to integrate sponsorship activations into live event operations and digital platforms.
- Prepare and deliver detailed recap reports to partners, highlighting campaign success and impact.
Sponsorship Strategy & Industry Expertise:
- Leverage experience with live event sponsorships and experiential marketing to identify innovative partnership opportunities.
- Stay informed about trends in sponsorship, experiential marketing, and live events, applying best practices to HOCR’s partnership strategy.
- Contribute to the overall sponsorship and brand partnership strategy, including pricing, packaging, and targeting efforts.
Sales Administration & Contract Development:
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline using CRM tools, tracking prospects, opportunities, and partner communications.
- Draft, review, and finalize partnership agreements in collaboration with legal and leadership teams, ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Monitor contract terms, renewals, and obligations to ensure seamless partnership management.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in brand partnerships and sports sponsorship sales, with a focus on live events and experiential marketing.
- Established relationships with brand and agency partners, with a proven track record of building and managing sponsorships.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop compelling brand concepts and partnership ideas.
- Proficiency in managing sales pipelines and databases using CRM platforms.
- Strong understanding of sponsorship activation, digital marketing, and experiential strategies.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
- Passion for rowing or experience in related sports events is highly preferred.
